Repair it or replace it
A fixture that misbehaves is usually telling you one specific thing. A garbage disposal that groans has jammed or its motor is going. A sink that sprang a leak under the cabinet has a failed supply line, a worn cartridge or a bad seal. A toilet that runs, rocks or refills on its own has a tired flapper, fill valve or wax ring. Each of those is a repair when it is caught early.
Our plumbers inspect the whole assembly, not just the part you pointed at, then walk you through what they found and what your options are. Sunstate does not believe in band-aid fixes. When a repair is inadequate or costs more than the part is worth, we say so and recommend replacement, with choices across styles and budgets so you pick the faucet or toilet that suits how your household really uses it.
Call (623) 937-4258 for anything leaking, running or refusing to drain. A dripping faucet can wait for the next office day. A supply line failing under a Peoria sink cannot, and our emergency line is answered by a real person around the clock.
Set level, sealed, tested
Fixture installation looks simple until it is not. A faucet set a little off level pools water at its base. A toilet bolted to an uneven floor rocks until the seal goes. A basket strainer tightened without putty drips into the cabinet for months before anyone sees the stain. Small hiccups like these turn into inefficient function, leaks and early replacement.
So every fixture we install is set level, every joint and connection is sealed, and the whole assembly is leak-tested before we leave. Shower installations get the same treatment, because a leak behind a shower wall is the expensive kind. Code compliance is the baseline, and workmanship held to a higher standard is what we aim for on top of it.
Commercial properties get the same sequence: set, seal, test. Whether it is a single faucet in a Peoria kitchen or a row of fixtures in a West Valley office, the order of work does not change.
Hard water and the fixtures it eats
West Valley water is very hard, and fixtures are where you see it first. White crust builds on faucet spouts and shower heads. Aerators clog until the stream sprays sideways. Cartridges stiffen and drip. Toilet fill valves foul with mineral and run on. None of it is a defect in the fixture. It is what dissolved minerals do when water dries on metal.
Cleaning an aerator or replacing a worn cartridge buys time, and we will do that. But if a new faucet is going to be crusted again in a year, the better question is the water. A softener or filtration system treats the supply for the whole house, which is easier on faucets, shower heads, dishwashers and the water heater alike.
That is why fixture work and water treatment sit close together here. Swap the faucet and the supply behind it fails the same way unless the minerals are dealt with. We would rather tell you so during the visit than sell you the same faucet twice.
