New construction

From underground rough-in to final fixture.

Residential and commercial new builds across the West Valley, plumbed from the slab to the last faucet by a crew that coordinates with the other trades. Free estimates.

Rough-in through final fixture

The Greater Phoenix Area keeps building, and Sunstate Plumbing, Inc has been part of that growth since 1989. We plumb new construction for both residential and commercial projects, from the underground rough-in beneath the slab to the last fixture set before the walkthrough. Whether the site is a custom home in the West Valley or a new commercial facility, the crew works from the plans for that building and installs a complete plumbing system built for it.

Underground work comes first, and it is the part nobody sees again. Drain lines, vents and stub-ups are set before the pour, at the slopes and locations the plans call for, and they are inspected before the concrete closes over them. Next comes the rough-in inside the framing, then the trim stage, when faucets, sinks, toilets and showers go in and every connection gets tested under pressure.

Free estimates are available on new construction, and we say so plainly because it is the one category we price that way. Call (623) 937-4258 from Peoria or anywhere in the West Valley and we will start with your plans.

Fitting in with the other trades

New construction means a lot of contractors, a lot of moving parts and a lot of decisions arriving at once. Our job is to make the plumbing side straightforward. Property owners, developers and general contractors get a locally owned team that knows the codes, coordinates with the other trades, and stands behind its work. Since 1989, customers have trusted us for high-quality work and for backing it up.

On a framed building the plumbing shares wall cavities, chases and ceilings with the electricians, the heating and cooling crew and the framers. Vent stacks, drain slopes and supply runs have to land where nothing else is already planned to go, and rough-in inspections have to pass before the drywall crew can close the walls. We schedule around that sequence instead of asking the sequence to wait on us.

When a superintendent calls from the site with a question about a stub-up that does not match the field conditions, a real person answers. No answering service, no callback queue. The same office that bids the job is the one that picks up when the job is half built, and a satisfaction guarantee covers the work after it is done.

Safety on the job site

Safety is a top priority for every client we work for: new construction, commercial and residential, as well as service and repair. You should know who is working on your job site, your place of business or your home, so our employees are thoroughly trained, must pass background checks, and are subject to random drug testing.

Our people also have to stay current on the latest OSHA safety guidelines, because they are the backbone of the company and their health and well-being come first. That is why we hold weekly safety meetings, keep a safety manual for each of our current new construction jobs, and follow the latest OSHA and Universal Plumbing Code requirements on all the work we do.

A general contractor weighing plumbing bids can ask about our safety program on the same call as the estimate. Call (623) 937-4258 and ask how it works on a site like yours. Safety is something we keep working at, job after job.

Houses and commercial buildings, same order

Rough-in to final, in order

Six stages on the plumber's side of a build. Scroll sideways, or tab in and use the arrow keys.

  1. 01

    Underground rough-in

Drains, vents and the water service go in below grade before anything is poured.

  2. 02

    Stub-ups and slab

Lines are brought up where the plans put every fixture, then inspected before the concrete closes over them.

  3. 03

    Wall rough-in

Supply, drain and vent inside the framing, sequenced with the other trades.

  4. 04

    Inspection

The rough-in is checked and signed off before the walls are closed up, so nothing hidden stays unproven.

  5. 05

    Final fixtures

Faucets, sinks, toilets and showers set level and sealed, then tested under pressure.

  6. 06

    Walkthrough

Last look with the builder or owner before the keys change hands.
